2) For any tablet problems, go see ITS located in the library in the basement. For the old "mpc" tablets, this is how the fix is made. follow these steps at your own risk...if it don't work then you can always undo it but so far, 8 of my friends have used this method that ITS showed me and none of them have had any reoccurring or additional issues due to this alteration.

*right click on your e-net connection by your clock and go to open network connections at the bottom of the choices.

* You will see at least two Local Area Connections. Find the one that is called Intel(R) bla bla bla. Right click on that and click on properties at the bottom of the options.

* you should start in the General folder, if not, tab over and then click the configure button.

* It will act like it is doing nothing for a few seconds then something will pop up and go away real fast and then you will be left with this....or something like that...just wait for this picture to show up. Anyways, from there, click on the Power Management tab. Then make your checkboxes look like this. The one that is probably checked but shouldn't be is the middle one in the top section. That box is telling your computer to save power by reducing the power sites are allowed to use...thus for, causing  the skipping sound. Once done, click ok and that is it. Very painless and beats going to ITS and waiting for them to figure it out. You don't even have to reboot.

3) This is a simple solution. The dining services hate waste more than anything and if their customers don't like something, it becomes waste. So the dining services promote students/customers to lodge any compliments and complaints. The reason nothing changes is because the customers tell the cooks and the managers can't go off what the cooks say so if you would like something to change. You and your friends have to formally lodge a complaint/suggestion at http://www.campusdish.com/en-US/CSMW/SDSMT/ContactUs/ContactUs.htm if you would like things to be different. They can't read minds so you have to inform the managers if you want things different. Remember, you are the customer and customers are "always" right.

4) The bookstore on campus has all of these. They can be located on the main floor of Surbeck. Ask the front desk for exact locations if you can't find it. The great thing about the bookstore is when you find it once, it will be in the same place all year long.

5) Here is the general answer I have gotten. If you are not satisfied with my response, you are free to contact Reslife. Their contact information is in the lower left corner of their website. Anyways, by being forced to get a meal credit meal plan, it ensures your family that you will have the ability to get food without starving. Also, this promotes more healthy eating than just the Miner Shack's food. Yes, you can eat in the dining hall using declining balance but declining balances go by fast with the Miner Shack carrying a lot of goodies. No one is perfect at managing money so with meal credits, you can't over spend them as easily which ensures that there will be yummy meals available to you during the last weeks of a semester when the declining balances are all dry. This also lets you spend your real cash (if any) on non-food items. Yes, it stinks to have 30some meals left over at the end of the semester but just be happy you didn't have to go without food since you completely run out. I have seen upperclassmen ask lowerclassmen to feed them because they didn't budget right. That is just my intake, if anyone has a better explanation I'd be more than happy to post your explanation instead (if it is really better).
